About me:
My name Is Christopher Didero-Gonzalez. I am currently a senior at Coventry High School. Throughout my four years, I have been involved in sports, volunteer activities, and many honors level classes. I enjoy the challenge of taking high level honors and AP classes, as well as the sense of achievement when passing the Ap exams. I have always loved math, but this year I discovered a passion for calculus. I enjoy solving complex equations that I would see as a freshman on the board and be amazed that people were doing them. This passion has solidified my decision to pursue a career as an engineer. Next year I will be attending the University of Connecticut's School of Engineering with a major in chemical engineering.
Having grown up in the small "cow-town" of Coventry, I have lived my life outside. I have a great love for being in the country side and experiencing all it has to offer. This love of being outside and being active is what fuels my passion for athletics. My favorite part of high school has been my time participating in different sports, most notably, track & field. This has also inspired me to coach a recreational basketball team consisting of 5/6th graders. I feel a sense of pride when I coach these kids, and I hope they look up to me in the same way that I looked up to my coaches when I was that age.

Focus
The focus of this website is my high school career. I plan on becoming an engineer and my portfolio reflects this because the majority of my examples are math/science related. Math and science have always been a big part of my life and I always love just walking around and looking at everything, whether natural or man made, and thinking about the way it was created and the mathematics behind it. Now that I know I want to be an engineer I am inspired when I see all of the amazing creations in the world and I can think "an engineer made that". Also, when I attend the University of Connecticut this coming fall, sports will be a major part of my time there. Whether I am able to participate on a Division I track & field team, or I am playing different club sports, my goal is to always be active my whole time there.
Goals:
-Graduate from Coventry High school. I plan on passing my portfolio and also being exempt from my CI and english exams so I can lessen my finals load.
-Attend The University of Connecticut School of Engineering for chemical engineering
-Acquire an engineering internship by my sophomore year of college since Uconn requires it
-Enter the workforce as a chemical engineer at a prominent engineering company since I will already have plenty of experience from any internships I will have had
